An accepted lead is one where ICL asks the technology owner in
your proposal for a solicited proposal or formal offer related to the
Scouting Lead, or ICL indicates to IdeaConnection that the Scouting Lead
is Acceptable.
ICL Innovation Ltd. is seeking a cost effective synergist as an
alternative to Antimony Trioxide (ATO) to deliver halogen in the gas
phase from plastic composites during combustion.
Background
As the field of flame retardants (FR) evolves, so does the need for
better and more cost effective synergists. ATO has served for years as
the major synergist for halogen based FRs. Current fluctuations in
price, and the ongoing need for innovation dictate the need to
develop alternatives. As a leading FR producer, with particular strength
in halogen based FRs, ICL Innovation Ltd. seeks to replace ATO with an
equally effective, yet price effective material.

The proposal would need to clearly describe the technical concept
(chemical approach, structure if IP protected) and proof of concept

innovative technologies that may be further developed and commercialized
through a business unit in ICL.
