According to reports, the 3-month accelerator program is aimed at empowering startups with the potential to grow their business to create more jobs. It is tailored to help early stage startups grow their enterprise towards profitable businesses.
The last edition of the accelerator held last year with not fewer than 10 startsups selected to participate. 7 of the startups eventually pitched on Demo Days three months after.
This edition is open to innovative technology startups across Nigeria that can scale and provide jobs, direct and indirect, as they scale. Applications closes midnight today, 13 May 2017 with a bootcamp to hold on 1 – 2 June 2017.
The selected startups would get the opportunity to leverage modern tools in building products that solve real problems for their customers and learn how to use feedback to create a clear competitive advantage.
They will get access to mentors, receive hands-on and intensive trainings in business development, product innovation & branding, and learn from workshops on growth hacking, partnership management and creative marketing strategies.
The program will culminate in a Demo Day where the selected startups will showcase their solutions to members of the public and the media while also pitching to potential investors.
At the end of the pitching, two startups will be named winners of the accelerator, each receiving ₦600,000 (about US$1,900) and ₦300,000 (about US$950) cash grants respectively.
