Social media goes a long way in showcasing our contents to readers. A blogger who runs a blog without involving social media is likely to reach a lesser audience. One of the easiest ways to drive traffic to your blog is through social media by sharing your content, unlike Search engines where you have to rank high to get the most organic traffic.
Twitter has about 380 million users and a serious blogger would take advantage of that to grow audience and drive traffic. There are numerous ways you can make use of Twitter for the benefit of your blog. The first thing to do is to add your blog URL to your twitter account so that your followers can easily get to your blog.
Having a twitter account and a Twitter widget makes you one step ahead but you cannot benefit from it without contents and without sharing your posts on your twitter account. One good thing about social media is that they easily get picked by search engines and it’s a good thing if you ask me.
Now you’ve seen the importance and benefits of a twitter account but what happens when you probably forget to update your profile with your latest post?

Note that you should have previously linked your blog to your FeedBurner account for this feature to work.
With a few tweaks, you can get this feature running and to do that, you’ll need three things: a Blog, a FeedBurner account, and a Twitter account. Create one if you previously don’t have but if you already have one, you’re good to go.
