How to Recover Deleted Files and Folders from Hard Drive

Ever find yourself facing a hard drive data recovery situation? never too worr, just that you must have put aside the cardinal rule of computing. Almost all hard drives fails at some point. Often times, data are not being backed up.
In this situation, the first thing we should do in this situation is to find out if we are confronting a hard-drive failure and not one of the countless other equipment glitches that can cause a boot failure. In this situation, try removing the failed hard drive from the very PC and use it as secondary drive in another computer, this could be done with the use of USB universal drive adapter. If this doesn’t workout, another alternative way of recovering data is by the few tips below. 

When data is accidentally deleted, remember that it’s better you stop using  the computer or other external memory storage devices. It will protect the deleted files for data recovery, this is possible because the system just hides the data by removing its file directory and mark the space as free for use. Now, the lost file can easily be recovered by rebuilding the file directory. But in a situation where the system is still used after deleting certain files, the system will automatically write new cases then erase the deleted file completely, this makes the process of getting back the deleted file almost impossible. It gets worse if the drive has limited or little space.

Here is another easy step by step guides on how to recover deleted files,
1. Install and launch EaseUS data recovery software and choose the disk partition or storage location where the file was deleted and click scan.
2. The system starts a quick scan to locate the lost and deleted files on the disk, after the quick scan, a deep scan will  start automatically to recover more files.
3. Preview and filter all the recovered files by file types, choose the needed file and click “Recover” to restore them from PC, hard disk, memory card or other USB devices.

It is advisable you don’t save the recovered files on the location or drive where you lost your data before you fully get back your files!

In another development, files can still be recovered in windows 7, 8 and 10 where the Recycle Bin had been emptied, this can be done using Windows built-in free backup and restore feature.

In Windows 7
From the Start button of the Computer, locate and open the folder that  contain the file or folder that was deleted, right-click it, and then select Restore previous versions. At this point, a list of available previous versions of the deleted files or folders with different times and dates will pop up. Select the version of your choice and click Restore to recover deleted files back.

In windows 8 and 10
Open the folder that contain the deleted file, locate and click on the History button. The file History will pop up with all the files contained in the most recent backup of that folder. Click the Previous button to get to and select the file you want to retrieve, then click the green Restore button to get back the lost file.
