Within the space of just three weeks, infinix mobile has unveiled three new smartphones with each of them being the latest on their line. The Zero 6 from the flagship line, the Hot 7 from its line and now the infinix hot s4.

If you are familiar with infinix phones and all their lines, then i don’t need to tell you that smartphones launched on the hot s line have always been the manufacturer’s entry or test device for new features.

Starting with the Hot S in 2016, S2 and S2 Pro in 2017, Hot S3 and Hot S3X in 2018 and now the Hot S4 in 2019.

Like most of the aforementioned devices, S4 comes with some great features that has never been featured on any infinix smartphones before now. Talking of Android 9.0 Pie (even their latest flagship launched few days ago doesn’t come with it), their first phone to feature triple (3) cameras at the rear and lastly, their first device with tear droplet display.

Without further ado, let’s dive into the business of the day.

Infinix Hot S4.

At an exquisite event at The Lagos Continental, Nigeria yesterday, infinix mobile announced their latest addition to the hot S line. It is a great device with lot of potential as a mid-range smartphone.

Inside the box that the phone comes in with are other accessories like the power adapter, USB cable, user guide, warranty card, screen protector, Earphone.

Design & Display.

Hot S4 from infinix is a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display smartphone with HD+ (720 x 1500 pixels to be precise) screen resolution. To give the device a premium and stunning look, its body is designed out of 2.5D glass.

There is nothing above the device but under it are the speaker, USB port, microphone and 3.5mm headphone jack.

At the right hand side of the device is the power and volume button while the SIM + SD card tray resides on the left hand side of the device.

The water/tear droplet notch display housed the selfie camera. The sides bezel are pretty thin and the bottom bezel has been cut down a bit more thanks to 19:9 aspect ratio featured by the device.

Flipping to the back, you will immediately notice the triple camera arrange vertically on top of each other with the Quad LED flash sitting just below them. You will also notice the fingerprint scanner.

Processor, Software & Storage.

Hot S4 is powered by a Mediatek processor. An Octa Core SoC of Helio P22 with speed running at 2.0GHz. Assisting the processing power is the IMG GE8320 PowerVR GPU to handle graphics related operations.

It runs on the latest version of infinix UI based on the latest version of Android operating system. The infinix Honeybee based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The smartphone will be available in two variants. There is a 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and another with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. You can expand the storage up to 128GB with SD card.

Battery, Camera & Connectivity.

Infinix S4 is packed with a non removable 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery which can last you more than a day of normal usage. It also support infinix X-Charge which can easily charge the device from 0 – 100 percent in less than 90 minutes.

Camera wise, the smartphone come with a set up that has never been seen on any infinix phone before now. It uses a triple camera set up with Quad LED flash at the rear. The trio camera break down at the rear are 13MP + 8MP + 2MP. While the front facing camera is 32MP.

It support dual nano sim, 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, OTG and GPS.
