The long wait is finally over! Ibom Air Nigeria has launched!!
After what seemed like an endless wait by citizens of Nigeria and Air travel lovers, we are delighted to inform you that Ibom Air Nigeria has launched it’s domestic operations and cargo services in Nigeria. We will be informing you about all that you need to know about Ibom Air, their services, flight booking, flight schedule and also every other necessary information as you read on.

What is Ibom Air?
Ibom Air is a commercial airline company owned by the government of Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. It was launched on February 20 2019 with three aircrafts, but didn’t make a single trip until it commenced domestic operations later in June.
It’s head office is in Obong Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo the capital city of Akwa Ibom state.
On Sunday 9 June 2019 the airline’s Bombardier jet took off from Obong Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo, Akwa Ibom on it’s maiden air trip to Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja Lagos where it was welcomed with cheers and water salutations by a crowd of spectators and officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and also members of the Nigerian fire service.

Flight Operations
The governor of Akwa Ibom state in the person of Gov. Udom Emmanuel has issued a strong statement through his deputy, Mr Epko Moses, stating that the airline project was conceived by the urgent need to enhance the shaky economy of Nigeria, provide jobs for the unemployed while also catering for the needs of travelers who make use of air transport on a regular basis.
According to the Governor, the aircrafts would maintain daily flights to both Abuja and Lagos from Uyo in Akwa Ibom state regularly.

Owning the fact that Ibom Air Nigeria recently commenced operations domestically in Nigeria, it is quite understandable that they cannot be able to cover many cities across the country for now. The cities they fly to in Nigeria include —

The current flight schedules for Ibom Air which currently flies to just 3 cities within Nigeria plies the following routes —

There are currently only three known routes in use by Ibom Air right now, and we have done well to provide you with the available routes, flight schedule as well as other valuable information about Ibom Air. However, there are expectations by air travel lovers and the people of Akwa Ibom state and the entire country at large, from the airline to improve on it’s flight destinations and continue to serve the country adequately by involving more cities in Nigeria and increasing it’s number of aircrafts as time goes on.
