Julius Berger Nigeria PLC is one of the highest employers and has a total of over 340 employees. Currently, it subsidiary, being AFP Furniture Production which is an interior design developer and furniture manufacture, jointly recruits to fill the vacancy below.
Electrician – Construction Site Equipment (M / W / D)
Location: Uyo, Akwa-Ibom
Job Narrative:
The incumbent/post holder will perform the following duties while he/she is responsible for:
- Maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment/installations, and general management at the temporal construction site.
- Installation of generators and control of emergency power supply systems at the power houses.
- He will be responsible for all installations and assembling of concrete mixing plants and asphalt machines.
- Maintenance and management of the electrical workshop at construction site.
- He/she will supervise and monitor electrical field service in the plant area.
- Provide troubleshooting on electric drives.
- He/she must comply with HSE regulations in provide technical support on spare part and service planning.
- He/she will oversee and supervise about 20 employees
- The post holder will be required to complete a compulsory training as an electrician.
REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY
- Proven years of cognate experience in electrical construction site and installation management.
- Automotive electrics knowledge is an added advantage.
- Practical knowledge and experience with PLC controls is required.
- 11 KV switching permission is necessary otherwise candidates will have to undergo training before leaving.

Job Narrative:
- Planning and organization responsibilities.
- Mediator for client-contact person relationship.
- Optimum quality management.
- Internal support for manufacturing, design logistics and purchasing.
- Support technical/commercial order processing.
- Management skills and capacity in leading organization team and supporting staff deployment planning.
REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY
- Engineering training in wood technology or interior design, master joiner (m / w / d), wood technician, etc.
- A minimum of two to three years of cognate experience as a professional joiner.
- Good organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must have an idea in leading a project team.
- Experience with order processing in the ERP system (preferably with program Kuhnle Holz).
- Knowledge of CAD 2D and 3D in AutoCAD and/or PaletteCAD.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of MS office tools.
- Effective in spoken and written English.
