1. Gender & Protection Program Officer
Job Location: Borno
Employment status: Permanent
Job Description
- Responsible for assisting in the implementation of Protection sector activities, including the mobilization of women’s groups, and training on topics such as psychological first aid, and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV)
- Advise and develop capacity of other sector teams on the protection of gender
- Reports daily to the officer of the Protection & Gender Senior Program
- Will work in close contact with other sectors
- See to the implementation of protection activities
- Develop plans for work, and manage the daily activities implementation
- Make sure that program implementation mainstreams gender and protection in coordination with other sectors in line with best practices
- Provide Support orientation for all new staff on MC guidelines on gender and protection mainstreaming
- Provide weekly field reports, capturing activities progress, lessons learned, success stories on the project as well as general situation and community updates and needs
- Provide report on any problems encountered in the field such as project participant complaints, local authority interference, and security threats to MC staff and activities. Coordinate with MC Security Officer and Gender & Protection Senior Program Officer on any threats to MC staff and activities
Job Conditions & Requirements
- Visual strengths in analytical skills, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing
- Strong communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills
Excellent written and verbal skills - Computer skills
- Hausa and English fluency is also required.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience on the development, implementation, administration and compliance of a field-based international development or humanitarian program; general gender and protection mainstreaming experience & knowledge required.
- Minimum Qualification: BA, BSc, HND

2. Gender & Protection Program Assistant
Job Location: Borno

Job Description
- Responsible for assisting in the program implementation
- Supporting the master trainers in communities to make sure that referrals are appropriately carried out
- Advise and develop the capacity of teams of other sectors
- Directly report to the Protection & Gender Senior Program Officer
- Work in close contact with other sectors
- Will provide support for the implementation of protection activities
- Will facilitate review meetings every month, with Mentors, Master Trainers, Coordinators and the community
