The Federal Civil Service Commission of Nigeria (FCSC) is an executive body in Nigeria that has the authority to make appointments and transfers and to exercise disciplinary control over all Federal Civil Servants. No officer can be appointed into the Civil Service without authorization from the Federal Civil Service Commission if they have been convicted of a crime, or had previously been employed in the Government Service and had been dismissed or asked to resign or retire.

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) wishes to announce vacancies in the Office of the Surveyor- General of the Federation. Suitably qualified candidates with character and integrity, who are interested in pursuing a career in the Federal Civil Service are invited to apply for any of the posts indicated below:

♦ Job Title: Assistant Director (Surveyor) SGL 15

Location: Nigeria
Qualifications

  • Applicant must possess a relevant University degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics, Land Surveying; Geodesy or Geodetic Science/Engineering; Hydrographic Surveying; Cartography; Photogrammetry; Remote Sensing; Geographic Information System (GIS); and Survey Engineering or any other equivalent qualifications.
  • Applicant must be registered with the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) for a minimum of six years post registration.  In addition, applicant must possess a minimum of Eighteen years post qualification cognate experience in the area of Geospatial Information Science and Technology (Surveying and Mapping).

Location: Nigeria
Qualifications

  • Applicant must possess a relevant University degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics, Land Surveying; Geodesy or Geodetic Science/Engineering; Hydrographic Surveying; Cartography; Photogrammetry; Remote Sensing; Geographic Information System (GIS); and Survey Engineering or any other equivalent qualification(s).
  • Applicant must be registeredwith the SurveyorsCouncil of Nigeria(SURCON) for a minimum of ten years post registration.  In addition, applicant must possess a minimum of twenty-two years post qualification cognate experience in the area of Geospatial Information Science and Technology (Surveying and Mapping).

♦ Job Title: Director (Surveyor) SGL 17

Location: Nigeria
Qualifications

  • Applicant must possess a relevant University degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics:Land Surveying; Geodesy or Geodetic Science / Engineering; Hydrographic Surveying; Cartography; Photogrammetry; Remote Sensing; Geographic Information System (GIS); and Survey Engineering or any other   equivalent qualification(s).
  • Applicant must be registered with Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) for a minimum period of fourteen years post registration. In addition, applicant must possess a minimum of twenty-six years post qualification cognate experience in the area of Geospatial Information Science and Technology (Surveying and Mapping).
