Huawei is known for making headlines for the wrong reasons in the past few months. Even at that, the company revealed its latest P20 Pro, this happens to be a remarkably well made and designed phone made up of a triple camera system and lots of styles. The United States government at some point warned against buying the company’s phone. This development almost led to the breakdown of a vital deal with AT&T and Verizon. At some point, few of the US retail partners had to back off as well. What is not certain is if the ban hold any weight, but one thing is sure, It sucks to be Huawei right now in the US. So, there is a strong possibility that no one in the US will ever be able to walk into a store and buy an Huawei phone. The Huawei P20 Pro is convincingly one of the best phones of all time, and one of 2018’s great Android phones, and it’s a shame after using it satisfactorily without any complain.
In summary Huawei is dealing with its fair share of trouble in the US, but that doesn’t stop them from making great phones. The P20 Pro undoubtedly every bit a first-rate flagship smart phone ranging from its camera to the performance. That said, its potent blend of style, solid software and a great camera experience make the P20 Pro one of the year’s great Android phones.
Now lets take a good look at the phones features:
The Cameras
Though the phone is beautifully made, the P20’s phone design is out of the context here, what captures the eye and mind in the phone is the insane Leica triple-camera system. Initially, the camera made of the phone(a 20-megapixel monochrome camera, a 40-megapixel RGB camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera seemed like over kil) the combination of this three makes it very special. With this, it is not really a perfect phone because it has its shortcomings.
Hardware
A close look at Huawei’s P10 and the more recent Mate 10s last year shows that they’ve been into building quality and top notch phones for some time now. Though style is very important as well, and in that regards, the P20 Pro sits in a league of its own. Phones tested in the streets of new York this year has not turn many heads on as the Huawei’s P20 Pro phones. This is due to the fantastic Twilight finish. It can’t really be said to be subtle, but the glossy blue and purple gradient is not like anything else anyone finds on a smartphone. The Huawei P20 Pro after being used for some weeks has started picking some gnarl nicks. Well, this is very common with phones that has mostly glass body and stands a greater chance of being scratched without being fixed in a case.
Performance and Battery
The Huawei has introduced weird and ambitious things in an attempt to accomplish the P20 Pro, the stuff inside the phone is actually quite conventional. The P20 Pro packs has the same Kirin 970 chipset that is compatible with neural processing unit as last year’s Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro, along with the same 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The unfortunate thing about the phone is it has no micro SD card slots. That’s another nice package. Huawei P20 Pro is made with enough power to handle most tasks without breaking a sweat.
