Airtel is one of the giant telecom companies in Nigeria. It
offers a broad range of telecommunication services including internet browsing.
If you have an internet-enabled phone or other mobile device, you can purchase
an Airtel SIM card and get started with internet surfing.

It is quite simple to configure an Airtel SIM to browse the
internet. In many cases, you’re bound to receive automatic GPRS settings on
your Airtel SIM immediately you slot it into your phone but for a number of
phones, you need to configure your SIM manually.
Basically, the two configuration methods are automatic GPRS
settings and manual GPRS settings. As mentioned previously, some phones are not
designed to receive GPRS settings automatically even when you send a text
message to your network provider implying that you want automatic GPRS settings
for your mobile phone. In a situation like this, you’re required to attempt the
manual configuration settings in order to start browsing the web.
As you read this article further, you will be guided on the
simple steps you should follow in order to configure your Airtel SIM for both
automatic GPRS settings and manual GPRS settings.
